Not every journey
needs a destination.

The best places are often the ones you never planned to find.

Why We
Drift

Belief

We don't believe the world needs another bucket list.

We believe the world needs more curiosity.

More wrong turns than perfect itineraries. More conversations than attractions. More afternoons with no agenda, and more meals you'll never find online.

Who we are

Happy Drifting is a slow travel journal by a Vietnamese and Italian couple, collecting hidden places, local stories, and imperfect adventures around the world.

Drift With Us

Every now and then, we open a small number of drifts for curious people who want to experience Vietnam differently.

No fixed itineraries.

No rushing.

No tourist checklists.

Just meaningful places, local food, unexpected conversations and the freedom to follow curiosity.

If that sounds like your kind of travel, we'd love to hear from you.

About

Happy Drifting began with two people from opposite sides of the world who discovered they shared the same curiosity.

Mai travelled across more than 25 countries before returning home and seeing Vietnam with new eyes. Beyond the famous landmarks, she found beauty in everyday life, local traditions and the resilience of ordinary people.

Gianmarco left the Italian countryside eight years ago and found a second home in Vietnam, using filmmaking to tell the stories of places, food and the people who make them unforgettable.

We don't know where this will take us. That's kind of the point.

Stay Curious

One letter a month. Stories, places and discoveries you won't find on our socials or anywhere else.

For the curious who'd rather discover than follow.
